Chevy Volt Unplugged Tour in the Events Forum

GM has just released the specifics for the Chevy Volt Unplugged Your for the West Coast event locations.  Specifically, they are below.  If you are planning to attend any of these events, let others know in the Chevy Volt Events Forum so you can meet your fellow Volt Enthusiasts!

Here is the Chevy Volt Unplugged Event Registration Form if you want to schedule a test drive.

I personally will be attending the Los Angeles Event on October 17th at Manhattan Beach Best Buy.  (I actually did not sign up for a drive, but signed a friend up instead)

You might be wondering what a Berkeley native is doing down in LA when there’s a perfectly good Volt drive in San Francisco, and the answer to that would be that I am planning to be there anyways for the Cal – USC Football game that weekend.

If there are any SF Bay people going to the Presidio to test drive the Volt (What a great location!) let me know and I’ll see if I will make that additional trip as well!  I will start a thread for each of the posted locations.

    Patrick,

i saw your video of the green interior variation of the volt. i have to say, that color doesn’t exactly look to be my cup of tea. but my question is, having seen the volt, which do you think looks better: the black center stack or the white center stack?

This one is certainly to each their own. I personally ordered the white stack on black seats primarily because I like the two toned contrast. The black itself isn’t really a dark black but a darkist gray kind of black. The black stack makes that elementa of the car more subdued vs the rest while the black makes it blend in more.

I’ve heard comments that for some the white is too “in your face” and I can see that perspective as well. From a color matching perspective I think that…

White Consoles go well the the following exteriors

    -Viridian Joule
    -Black
    -White

While Black Consoles work well with all colors

    -Crystal Red Tintcoat
    -Silver
    -White
    -Cyber Gray Metallic
    -Black
    -Viridian Joule

As you can see black can work better with most as its not a contrasting element. White is great for contrast, but only against the right colors.

    Just my two cents

    Patrick
