Re: When to send in tax form for $7500 tax credit

Wow Patrick you were right. Our accoutant was using the wrong form to get the rebate. She had to go to the IRS helpdesk to figure out how to enter the information. But ultimately it worked. Make sure these guys are using the right form. There is a similar form, but it will not give you the rebate. I...

Or just the administator?

Re: When to send in tax form for $7500 tax credit

When my accountant tried to put in $7500.00 into the proper form it was rejected.
Can you send me an email that states that I DO get the $7500.00 tax credit.
With your credientials of course.

Re: Volt gas engine question

No. However it seems to charge it faster (less miles). I drive about 100 miles per day and use 65 electric and 35 gas. The trick is to switch to mountain mode when you show 2 to 3 miles remaining on electric. Drive about 5 to 7 miles city or 15 to 20 miles highway, and switch back to normal mode. Yo...

Re: 7500 Energy Credit for Chevy Volt

This is because the $7500.00 tax credit only applies to people that use the Volt strickly for business.
Your credit (if you don't use it for business) is $2500.00.
Chevy is false advertizing the $7500.00 tax credit/rebate.

Re: Low Income Tax Payer for the $7500 Federal Tax Credit

Well I guess they told you the truth on part of this. It is a tax credit. However the $7500.00 credit only applys to those who use their Volt exclusively for business. You and I only get a $2500.00 credit which will amount to about $400.00 on your tax return. I'm #5 bought 2011 last april. Just file...

Re: Tire Inflation Kit?

Well, yes. I have had two sidewall blowouts so far. Unfortunatly the inflation kit is worthless in these cases. I did hook it up and at lest that worked. But of course it didnot inflate a tire with a hole in the side. Let me tell you of my experiences. I have had to wait a total of 3 hours for roads...

Re: When to send in tax form for $7500 tax credit

WOW! looks like they sucked you in on this one too. I was told that I would receive a $7500.00 "REBATE" when I filed taxes. The truth is the $7500.00 tax credit only applys if you use the Volt exclusively for a business. You and I will only receive a $2500.00 tax credit which unlimately am...

Re: Prius vs Volt

I found that when your battery is just about expired, switch to Mountain mode (which automatically switches to Gas) drive for a while (30 to 50 miles) and switch back to Normal mode and se how much charge you got. You may be surprised. I am using 1/2 the amount of gas I did before I discovered this ...
