Re: pre-conditioning and intelligent gas generator re-chargi

For the auto pre-conditioning there are already a couple Volt owners making apps to do just this using the OnStar site, check out these 2 threads on GM-Volt.com for more details: http://gm-volt.com/forum/showthread.php?9967-Script-to-start-the-Volt http://gm-volt.com/forum/showthread.php?9579-Smartp...

Re: Lease or Buy?

I have a lease vs buy question not related to the pricing. I think the 399 plan is a good deal (although with options it's more) and with the dealing of the 75000 at US bank it benefits me My issue is I prefer to buy but I have real concerns of the car value in 2-3 years. They don't seem to be flyi...

Re: How many amps

Nice. If they're willing to install an outlet, you should see if they can put in both a 120V and 240V while they're at it. You may find later that you decide to get a portable 240V charger (either the SPX Power Xpress or modified Rev2 Nissan Leaf unit) in order to get the 4hr charge. My situation is...

Re: How many amps

If you're only going to charge at 120V, then all you need is a 15A breaker. At 120V the Volt will pull 12A. At 240V the Volt will pull close to 16A so then you need at least a 20A breaker. See below from the owner's manual. Oh and congrats on your order! Just got mine, this is by far the coolest car...

Costco Volt Purchase from Concord Chevrolet!

Hi, I just got my Volt last Sun, 10/16 from Concord Chevrolet. It was a great experience, Concord customer service is outstanding. I put a lengthy account of my experience on the thread below. In short I got $500 off MSRP through Costco, plus a $50 gift certificate I used towards an all weather carg...

Re: New ordering timeframe?

Does anyone have a recent timeline for ordering a new Volt from the factory? I'm hearing a wide variation from dealers and wondered what others have heard. I picked my Volt up last Sun, 10/16. It was ordered from Concord Chevrolet on 8/24. Can't say enough about Concord, they were amazing to work w...
