Re: Battery warranty

Just a update, I have been to two different dealers and they both say the same things. No warranty unless the battery completely fails. I did get a price for a new battery of $7500.00 plus installation. I guess it’s not worth putting $8000.00 in a car that’s only worth $6000.00. I guess it’s time to...

Battery warranty

I bought my 2012 Volt new and have loved the car until now. I have been noticing the battery range going down. It has dropped approximately 10 miles of range over this past summer. I was told that the warranty was 8 years or 100,000 miles. The car is 7.5 years old and has 85,000 miles on it. I’ve on...

Re: Service High Voltage Charging Message

Ok, problem came back this past June. Had it fixed again at Jerry's. Came back again last week (November 1) after 2500 miles. This time they replaced hybrid battery pack coolant level sensor. Problem is back after 4 days and 19 miles of driving!! The car now has 63280 miles on it. Any help would be ...

Factory charger quit working

Has anyone had there 120 volt charger quit working?
Mine is a 2012 Volt and I use the factory charger at work every day. It decided to stop working on Friday.
Any idea if it would be covered under warranty?

Thanks,

Re: Recall for power inverter module 13202

Just had my Volt at the dealer because I had a (Service High Voltage Charging System) message. They had to reprogram battery charger control module.
They also had to reprogram power inverter per recall #13202. They did not have to replace any hardware.

Re: Service High Voltage Charging Message

All fixed!
Took car to Jerrys Chevrolet. Great people to deal with.
Took them about 1.5 hours to diagnose and fix the problem.
It needed software update.
Very happy with them!!

Thanks,
Steve

Service High Voltage Charging Message

Anyone had a service high voltage charging message come up?
I am not sure if is safe to drive car like this?
Car will not charge with either charger so I will have to burn some gas to go to work!!
This will ruin my 915 mile per gallon average. Not happy about that

Thanks, Steve

Re: RANGE GOING DOWN AFTER CHARGING OVERNIGHT

Trevor,
I live in Baltimore Maryland. Maybe you are right, those trips that got less miles were around 45 degrees out.
This morning I did make it to work with 2 miles to go. It was around 55 degrees. Tonight I made it home and it showed I had 10 miles left. It was 70 degrees.

Steve
