Re: My Volt Performance After - Battery Reinforcement

Anyone that wants to see exactly what they put into the bottom can see it at this post. They also add a coolant level sensor to one of the coolant reservoirs to make sure they are not draining.

Re: Cooling System Problems?

Is it clear where the leak is? (e.g. if you pick up a nasty enough rock on any radiator - it will leak). But if its on the seals or one of the other pumps, there's more work involved. (Wouldn't they need to repair it before it could be sold?) I saw your other post about the condition of the car. Har...

Re: Cooling System Problems?

Hey there,

Do you mean the air conditioning / compressor loop or one of the cooling loops in the radiator stack?

Re: Check engine light on

Hey Chuck,

When you called onStar, did they pull the vehicle codes when the light was on? Typically they can do this and give you a diagnosis without you having to go in.

Re: Sport Mode

Yeah, you can drive like that without feeling guilty about dumping a ton of gas too! As far as I have seen sport mode doesn't chew up a prodigous amount of extra battery. (It certainly uses more, but not like a gas engine when you floor it.) I've asked for default sport mode too, but I suspect they ...

2nd Annual San Francisco Volt Party (Need your thoughts!)

Hey all you SF Bay area Volt owners, Last year we did a Volt get together at the GM Advanced Technology Center in Palo Alto. I am looking to put another one of these together and want your suggestions for locations. Likely planning on doing something on a weekend during the end of July. http://www.m...

Re: Coulumb vs. Blink?

Dang $2600 is steep. I had to get my whole panel redone to accommodate the extra circuit and that was quote at $1600 (with the $1200 credit it was only $400).

Did they already go on site to inspect? I'm not sure how the process is nowadays.

Re: Low Income Tax Payer for the $7500 Federal Tax Credit

Hey Guys! Long time no chat, I do remember you two.

AFAIK the credit does not roll over (it is considered a non-refundable credit). You need to do it all in one tax year or you lose any of the remaining benefit.

Hope that helps in your tax planning!
