Re: First San Francisco Bay Area Volt Gathering!

Looks like we'll wait a month or two and see if more people are ready to meet, 3 is fun, but looking for a few more :)

First San Francisco Bay Area Volt Gathering!

Hey All, I believe there are enough Volt's on the road in SF where we could setup a gathering of current Volt Owners! This would be a great way to share experiences and meet the others who are part of the electric revolution! I'm not sure how many people are following this right now, so instead of t...

Re: Got my Volt!

I've been told that the gray strip is a way to make the profile of the car look thinner (blends into the road, kind of like how black hides fat).

Knowing that now I have a great appreciation for the gray strip, but I could see why you would want to have it match the body panels as well.

Re: Offgassing

I had no smell problems with mine. Had a great "new car" smell when I got it. Then again, mine was sitting in the factory for about a month before it got delivered.

Re: Volt gas engine question

They have done an excellent job insulating engine noise. At highway speeds it is barely perceptible over road noise. The only time you'l really hear it roaring is if you are in Mountain mode and it spins up to 3-4k RPM to restore charge to your battery. At local driving speeds if you try - you'll he...

Have at it! That was the intent of this forum! I suspect we'll get more visitors here once more Volts are on the road though!

Re: charger installation rebate

Actually that could have happened for me, but I had a lot of questions and back and forth on the quotes - so I caused my own delay :) For the West Coast it looks like there are only a couple companies doing the installs, so queuing everything up may take a while. They are also still shaking down the...

Re: Several ways to track your Volt order.

I've got a post on it in the main section of the site - under Buying a Chevy Volt -> Order Tracking. Probably going to do the final update tonight on that one.

Re: charger installation rebate

Hey Guys,

I just got my 240 Charger installed today. Will be writing more about it soon. It's tough getting some media attention and having a day job!

Hope you are all enjoying your Volt's! Mine has been fantastic so far.
