To kick off the Chevy Volt Owner's Forum, please post the Volt you have ordered, where you ordered it, and the options you got. This will be a great way to see what kinds of interest there is out there in the marketplace!

If you need a remind of the trim codes possible, here's a nice one that Jeff sent in.

For example: Here is my Order:

Place in Line: 1/13
Chevy Volt Launch Market: San Francisco Bay Area
Dealer: Concord Chevrolet
Color: Viridian Joule Tricoat
Interior Trim Package: Black Leather with White Accents (Code: AFE)
Backup Camera and Parking Assist: Yes

Place in Line: 6/15
Chevy Volt Launch Market: San Francisco Bay Area
Dealer: Putnam Chevrolet
Color: Silver Ice Metallic
Interior Trim Package: Light Neutral leather with dark accents (Code: AFF)
Backup Camera and Parking Assist: Yes

Thanks for posting that link, I chose my options at the dealer this morning blindly -- though I did check out the exterior color choices on the dealer lot, all of the choices are available on current chevy's except for Viridian Joule. I have until Monday to change my mind, and after looking at the colors in the Volt book I am going to switch to the same interior package as Patrick -- black with white accents -- as I like the contrast of the light colored console against the dark seats. Plus black will hide the dirt better.

Very cool to see where the orders are coming form and what you're ordering! Also interesting to see that at least for now the color choices are evenly distributed!

Small data set, but I think this is a very good poll of only Volt Orderers

Closer to launch I'll setup a forum post area so you can share your new Volt with everyone when you pick it up from the dealer!

Cheers - and keep them coming!

Patrick

Finally got the Volt ordered but not without a lot of help from the Chevy Volt team, from Voltage forum working with my dealership.

I originally ordered black leather with black trim but got a call back that they are not doing black consoles on the launch vehicles so Carbuff and Jeff N you might want to give your dealership a call. I just got word on this a few minutes ago. They said you can keep Black\Black selection but it WILL delay your order.

BTW: My wife and I have been invited to test drive the Volt at a Dallas Media event on September 23rd and we are very excited about that.

Place in Line: not sure of the code here. I am number 5 at my dealership but they are not saying what their total Launch quoted is. They did tell me I am in the launch quota so Patrick please edit to make this appropriate.

Chevy Volt Launch Market: Austin, Texas
Dealer: Capitol Chevy
Color: Viridian Joule Tricoat
Interior Trim Package: Premium Package(PCQ) Black Leather with White Accents (AFE)
Backup Camera and Parking Assist: Yes
Polished Wheels: Yes

Hi Jerry R,

Ok so if that is the case, then what happens when you choose the neutral interior that only comes with the dark accent dash, is GM changing it to neutral interior with the white accent dash, if so they didn't provide and pictures of how it would look, or are they not offering neutral interior at all for the Chevy Volt now. So basically you are saying there is only two choices for interior, either black cloth, or black leather with white accents? Well I ordered mine 3 weeks ago today. I didn't get a call back or anything like that. Being that I live in NJ, I will be getting the last of the production run, as I was told my Volt will not be available until the first quarter of 2011, anwhere from January to March, I even heard as late as even April. Hopefully by that time the dark accents will be available. I'm in no hurry, if there is a delay to get the dark accents I will consider the wait depending on how long the delay would be, I seen some pre-production models going around that had the dark accent dash, so I can't see why GM is not producing it. If I have to get the neutral leather to get the dark accent dash, I will just have to change my interior color then I guess. We will see what happens. Thanks for the bad news!

CarBuff

I made an assumption and you know what they say about those. I know for a fact you cannot get Black on Black leather on the early cars. I made an assumption that was because of the Black Console. As you point out that just can't be correct.

I doubt this is going to effect anything but the early Volts anyway based on what my dealer said.

Sorry about that.

I guess the good news is that someone at Chevrolet is starting look at these early order cars close enough to figure how what they can build and what they can't. That could be considered progress.

According to Angie with Volt Customer Service (on gm-volt fourm) interior options will be limited until after the first of the year.
