When Volts are available, here will be the place to talk about how to Detail, Maintain and Customize your Volt. Other good topics are charging (solar or otherwise) smartphone app usage, etc.

2016 real-world winter range?

Postby MrSustainable » Fri Jan 08, 2016 2:40 pm

I'm seriously considering trading up from my 2012 (with 50K on it) to the current 2016 model and I'm wondering if anyone has any real world experience with winter driving range? This would be my primary reason for upgrading since I live in Maine and get as little as 23 miles range in our brutal cold winters with the heat running. My dealer has a new model on the lot that I will be looking at real soon now so I would appreciate any feedback anyone has on this issue.

Just bought a 2016 Volt two weeks ago. Temperature have been below freezing every day. I am getting 35 - 40 miles on a charge.
