Got my first TOU (Time of Use Bill from) SDG&E

Having just received my first Time of Use bill from SDGE I noticed a wonderful thing. My bill is less, $25.61 less...

The January-Feb Bill I got for electricity was $182.69 for 804 kWh (an average use for our home since it has a pool, computers, cameras, etc..)

The February-March Bill I got for electricity was $157.08 for 932 kWh (love that super off-peak charging)

So, my monthly average per kWh rate went from $0.227226368159204 down to $0.168540772532189!!!!

Loving the Volt even MORE now

It's 0.15 more than last month, but I used 1 Kwh more.

For the 1st 2 months of charging and ToU, it is costing me about $5 more a month for this car's electricity and 6 gallons ($30) of gas. My gas-only car for the same driving pattern was a fill-up (12 gallons) every 3 weeks on average.

I know it's not an "economy car" but one's monthly wallet could easily mistake it for one.

You are lucky. It looks like your peak rates are not much different than your off peak rates. SCE is much different
