Anyone else getting better than 60 miles on a charge on a 2017?

Postby MartinL » Tue Mar 21, 2017 9:00 pm

Now that the weather has warmed up I am seeing high 50s low 60s on range when I charge up. This is born out by the odometer when I run the battery flat. Anyone else getting this range or is this an anomaly?

Unfortunately cant answer your question, just took delivery of my Volt yesterday. But from experience driving Chevy Spark EV i can tell you that miles is just an estimate that software figures as result of actual battery capacity at the moment, the terrain you drove on, number of hard accelerations and braking etc. Basically system "rewards you" for eco driving and "punishes you" for spirited one.
Enjoy the Volt

Yeah the Guess O' Meter is not going to give you an accurate reading of the miles you have. It all depends on how you drive it. If you baby it and drive it on surface roads, no problem, you can easily hit 60 miles or more. My GOM shows low 50's every morning/day, nowhere near the 58. So what? I have a gas tank as a reserve :).
